About Us

Pinnacle Bank was first chartered in 1927 in Tama, Iowa as Tama State Bank. In 1970 William J. and Marilyn J. Beohm purchased the bank.  In 1996 the charter was moved to Marshalltown, Iowa.  A new main office was built in Marshalltown in 2005.  This facility was built to accommodate future growth and to allow for all of the in-house processing.  In July of 2009, Iowa River Bancorp purchased Pinnacle Bank from the Beohm family.  Pinnacle Bank continues to be locally owned with local decision makers.  People can expect the same commitment to service and to our community that this bank has demonstrated for three quarters of a century.

When the bank was purchased in 1970, it had assets of $10 million. Today, Pinnacle Bank has assets of over $60 million.  Capital is over $8 million, making Pinnacle Bank a very strong institution.

Pinnacle Bank prides itself on being a locally owned bank.  President/CEO David S. Burrell and his staff are dedicated to Pinnacle Bank's vision "For all customers to always come to us first for all of their financial needs."
