Pinnacle Bank would like to congratulate Marilyn Downs on her recent retirement.  Downs has been in banking for 22 years and began her career with Pinnacle Bank in September of 2010 where she has served as the bank’s receptionist and customer service representative for 13 years.  Pinnacle Bank appreciates her hard work and willingness to assist with anything and everything throughout the years.  She has been the first friendly face that customers see when they enter the bank, and her presence will be missed.

“I’d like to thank Pinnacle Bank for the opportunity I’ve had to serve its customers, and I’ll forever treasure my memories and relationships that I’ve developed with each one while working at Pinnacle Bank. I have been so blessed to be a member of the Pinnacle Bank team and work alongside so many wonderful people who will always hold a very special place in my heart. In my retirement, I look forward to enjoying more time with my amazing family and various volunteer activities,” Downs commented.

Downs currently resides in Marshalltown with her husband, Jim, and has four grown children and 10 grandchildren.  Marilyn is an active member of the community where she serves as a current board member and past president of Marshalltown Christian School, active member and past president of P.E.O. Chapter JU, past president and current sustaining member of Assistance League of Marshalltown, and a 58-year member of Journey Church. After retirement she plans to use her extra time volunteering and spending time with her family including her many beloved grandchildren.

“Marilyn’s exceptional customer service has become the face to our bank as she greets all with a smile,” stated Alyssa McCarthy, Vice President of Pinnacle Bank. “She always goes above and beyond with everything she does.  She will be greatly missed by us and so many of our customers.”
