WEB Electric is a proud family-owned and operated electrical contractor serving Marshalltown and all of Iowa with integrity, reliability, and excellent customer service. WEB Electric was built on their reputation of honest work, personalized service, and a deep commitment to the community they call home.
Founded in 1978 by Warren Balvanz, WEB Electric has been a staple to the Marshalltown Community. Under the care of the Balvanz family, the business grew from a small operation into a trusted name in the Marshalltown area. In December 2006, John Fox was hired as an electrical apprentice. He worked at WEB Electric through his apprenticeship until he became a licensed electrician, where he continued to work as an electrician.
As Warren neared retirement, John and his wife, Mandy, approached him about buying the business. They wanted to buy everything including the name so that the legacy of quality and reliability could continue. John shared that he was in the right place at the right time and plans to purchase the business quickly formed. John explained, “When we were looking for a bank to help us finance the purchase of WEB Electric nine years ago, several of them told us they weren’t interested. We came into Pinnacle Bank pretty discouraged, but after meeting with Damon, we knew we were in good hands. He encouraged us from the very beginning and has been there for us ever since.” John and Mandy took over ownership of WEB Electric in 2016. While Mandy runs the office, John takes care of the field, making many loyal customers along the way. “We moved all of our banking to Pinnacle at that time, and have been taken care of flawlessly.”

They are proud to primarily focus service in the Marshalltown area, but do work all over the state. John and Mandy proudly pointed out their excitement about working on the Taco John’s remodel as well as their continued work with MICA. Their commitment to Marshalltown and their community pride is evident.
Mandy said, “We could not have done it without Damon and everyone at Pinnacle Bank that has been there for us from the beginning.” Their goal is to continue to grow their presence in Marshalltown, as well as continuing to serve and be an active part of the community they call home.
